I am a member of the California bar in private practice in San Diego, California.  Since 2001, my law practice has involved legal ethics, attorney discipline defense, admission and reinstatement to the Bar, and the law of lawyering in general.  Between 1989 and 2001, I worked for the State Bar of California as a staff attorney, discipline prosecutor and manager.  In the morning of my legal career I was a commercial and business civil litigation attorney.   After taking my  undergraduate degree  in history from UCLA, I graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1986.  From 2008 through 2010, I had the great honor of serving of the Association of Discipline Defense Counsel as President.  I am also a member of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, the Legal Ethics Committee of the  San Diego County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Center for Professional Responsibility.
