I am a  member of the California bar in private practice.

Since 2001, my law practice has involved legal ethics, attorney discipline defense, admission and reinstatement to the Bar, and the law of lawyering in general.

A Navy brat, I grew up in the south bay suburbs of San Diego and went to high school in the small desert town  of Borrego Springs.

After taking my  undergraduate degree in history from UCLA, I graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1986 and was admitted to the Bar that year.

In the bright morning sun of my legal career I was a business and commercial litigation attorney.

Between 1989 and 2001, I worked for the State Bar of California as a staff attorney, discipline prosecutor and manager.
